Succeed in Canada Workshop - Guide to Canada: Culture & Etiquette & Adjusting to Studies Online
Starting off as an international student in Canada is exciting, and yet navigating the customs and unwritten rules of a new culture can be challenging. The first part of this workshop will lay a foundation in learning about Canadian culture, including values, social norms, communication styles, academic systems, and even common Canadian slang and expressions. We hope to see you there, eh?!
Adjusting to a new culture is both exciting and challenging. Through the second part of this workshop, we aim to equip you with knowledge and skills to help overcome homesickness, and to facilitate cultural adjustment. We will discuss common challenges faced by international students, opportunities for growth, and ways in which we can create and maintain meaningful connections.
