Snowshoe Hike: Gatineau Park In-Person

Join the IEC and the National Capital Commission on a guided snowshoe hike! Come learn how Gatineau Park’s animals adapt to winter conditions and discover a winter sport that’s fun for everyone! You will experience the wonders of nature first-hand and learn about environmentally respectful activities in this conservation park located so close to your new home.

We advise that students joining us on trip dress warmly, including warm hat, warm gloves or mittens, scarf, long warm coat or winter jacket, snow pants and warm (waterproof) winter boots.

The schedule for the event is as follow:

12:15 - Arrive in front of C Building

12:30 - Board the bus and depart

1:00 - Arrive at Gatineau Park and start snowshoeing!

2:30 - Complete hike!

3:30 - Arrive back at Algonquin College C Building

Pack snacks, a waterbottle, and don't forget your sunscreen. The bus will depart from the front of C building at 12:30 pm sharp. If you are not able to join, please cancel at least a day in advance to open your seat up.

Registration in NOW OPEN! Please visit the IEC in C021, before February 1st at 4:30pm to register for the field trip!
